Mt. Hood Skibowl is surrounded by not only natural beauty but also by some of the best mountain biking terrain in the country. Our instructors have an intimate knowledge of the park's trail network and are trained and experienced teachers of off-road riding technique. Lessons are available for all levels of availability from first time rider or recreationalist to extreme freerider and comptetitive racer. Mountain Bike Tours
1. GET AQUAINTED TOUR - Various lengths for ALL abilities. 1-1/2 hours. Get to know the trail system at Skibowl or the easier trails around the Government Camp area.
2. SKIBOWL BIKE PARK TOUR - Varies for ALL abilities. 2 hours. Whatever your abilities, just let us know and we will bring you to where you can apply your skills and challenge yourself at the same time.
3. SKIBOWL SCENIC LOOP - 4 mile beginner ride. 1 hour. Take the Sky Chair to the historic Warming Hut, and enjoy views of Mt. Hood as you cruise down Skibowl's wide trails. Finish with a relaxing roll through the woods back to the lodge.
4. TRILLIUM LAKE SCENIC LOOP - 6.5 mile beginner/intermediate ride. 2.5 hours. Our most popular ride leads you through meadows of colorful wildflowers to Trillium Lake, the area's most striking lake and mountain photo opportunities. However, there is a 350' elevation change each way.
5. WIND LAKE ADVENTURE LOOP - 5 mile intermediate/advanced. 2 hours. Are you ready for a good workout and technical descents? Gradual phill ride on Skyline Trail leads you to the top of the Upper Bowl. Here at 5,000' take in breathtaking views and capture incredible photos of the mountain peaks of Hood, Jeffereson, Adams, St. Helens, Ranier, and the whole Cascade Range. Speedy, technical singletrack leads to magical Wind Lake, Skibowl's best kept secret. Finish by descending 1,300' in just two miles.
6. SKIBOWL STILL CREEK DESCENT - 15 miles for ALL abilities. 3 hours. For only 400' of gradual climbing you will get rewarded with 2,500' of peaceful downhill. Coast down 12 miles of gravel road through giant evergreens, streams, and wildlife all the way to Rhodadendron. We will provide the shuttle back to Skibowl.
